Since the club started in 2014 we have had four presentation evenings. This gives us the perfect opportunity to get everyone involved in the club together and have fun, while giving all the children a medal and other awards for their achievements over the season.

On Saturday 30th July our U11s team St Blazey Blades Entered the Tywardreath Fun Run in an attempt to raise funds for a new kit.
On the evening of the run it was very hot making the run very difficult. All the boys completed the run and all in a good time.

With a target of 350 pounds they knew it would take a huge effort to raise so much in one fundraiser.
However the boys absolutely smashed that target and managed to raise just over 500 pounds.

A fundraiser like this wouldn't be possible without the fantastic support from the parents so a huge thank you to them.
I would also like to mention James Kittow Butchers and thank them for their support and thank Doug Stewart for accompanying coach Steve Haynes on the 7 mile trotter race.
Well done boys we will have our new kit.

WOW
What an amazing evening at Griggs. We had a fantastic turnout, you guys are fabulous. We had a sweet stall, face painting, tombola and a brilliant raffle.
A huge thank you and pat on the back to everyone who helped in organising the disco and who helped on the night.

Your help is very much appreciated.
Griggs have been amazing at supporting us, their Chefs worked for free last night on the bar.

We made just over 400 pounds after expenses.
Thank you SO much. You're all super stars.

Friday 27th May saw our annual presentation evening take place at St Blazey Cricket Club.

We were fortunate to have glorious weather, despite some worries of rain that had been forecasted earlier in the week.
We had the Cornish Wafflebox in attendance as well as a Bouncy Castle, Face Painting, BBQ, Sweet Stall and a fantastic raffle whom many people contributed towards.
Many thanks to you all!

On the night, when all event expenses were covered; we raised an amazing

339 pounds towards club funds and pay tribute to all of the parents in
attendance who supported the event as well as sponsors KJ Rule & Paul Bourton Funeral Service, who donated generously towards the cost of staging the event.

One final thanks must go to our dedicated coaching team as the curtain falls on another season.
You are an absolute credit to the club and the commitment and enthusiasm shown towards your specific age groups and the club as a whole is admirable.
Your efforts are certainly not lost on the rest of us and the same can be said of the hard working committee who do countless hours of organising behind the scenes.

Thank you all so much for your time.
Here's hoping for an equally enjoyable 2016/17 Season!

We held a Valentine's Disco and would like to give M A Grigg a big THANK YOU for allowing us to use their venue, as well as donating all the pizza and chips for the children on the night supported by their suppliers Westcountry Fruit sales and Chaffins food supplies.
Simon Curtis our Under 9's coach and resident chef was at hand to keep everyone well fed and watered throughout the evening. Additional thanks must also go to the bar staff who also very kindly gave up their evening for free.
Kate Curtis and Kiley Tellam co-ordinated the evening from start to finish making a huge success of a great raffle and keeping the children entertained.

Last season we had a trip to Plymouth Argyle who gave us a great day out. The children got to meet some of the players and had a tour of the ground. Jason Chapman, one of the Plymouth Argyle Football Development Officers, gave them a talk on the history of Home Park before they met up with fellow Football Development Officer, Stewart Walbridge, who gave the children a great training session. Security for the day was provided by the Stephens brothers Adam and Matthew (see top centre photograph).  We all then watched Plymouth Argyle take on Mansfield Town; Plymouth won which was a great end to a brilliant day.

THE FA RESPECT CAMPAIGN

As a new club we introduced the parents to The FA's Respect Campaign with the help of our friends at St.Austell Rugby Club. We showed a series of videos identifying bad practice and how NOT to behave at football matches. At the end of the evening every parent signed the FA's respect charter, committing themselves to behaving appropriately when supporting their children.
